This was not helpful. He is in prison for being convicted of twelve counts of wilful failure to collect income tax, FICA, and structuring his transactions to avoid reporting. He lied about having income, he took asinine positions based on the same tax protestor positions that put tax protestors in jail despite how certain they are of their positions.

A lot of these charges stem from having employees that he refused to consider as employees, sort of in the same way tax protestors use gibberish about being freemen and not Corporate People with capital letters or whatever loony argument it is. Hard to even follow because it's so whacky.

I would certainly like to see some media attention and informed commentary from those better at this game than I am.

Maybe what you are saying is that the first case did not settle how much personal income tax he owed - that the IRS has now made an assessment, and he has filed a motion in tax court challenging that assessment.

That would be easy to say clearly. Like I just did.
