Classic Pam Geller rant

Anti-Muslim activist and frequent Fox News guest has posted one of the most incoherent drug-induced rants I've ever seen by a public pundit:

Quote:
Decades ago we cringed when any news story of corruption and collusion broke about our long venerated trusted newsmen We trusted those powerful subversive like Walter Cronkite, Dan Wallace, etc, These men with enormous power weilded it, abused it, and disseminated one of th =e world's great campaigns of anti0merican disiinformation and propaganda. We remember Walter Chronkite, as a grandfather figure trusted iconclast when in fact he wa a red and did the country incalculable harm.

Twenty years of the Chroncrite legacy and we ahve gonthat much further of the deep end. Media ia a propactvisit arm whose one goal - shape the news, change the ness, even live about the news to advance a collectivist, pro-sharia agandena. How else culd an unqualfied, bitter Ameria hater hold the eat in the Obama office.

You know, Pam, maybe the Muslims have a point when it comes to their stance regarding alcohol consumption...

I was listening to incoherent anti-Muslim rants as poetry before it was popular to listen to incoherent anti-Muslim rants as poetry.

The problem with this historical revisionism is that people believe it, and it is impossible to defend Cronkite from this far away.

What? I must have missed the pro-sharia agenda in the media on account of me being so into the pro-voodoo agenda in books.

Don't laugh. We had a member here named TokenConservative who believed that both Cronkite and William S. Paley were taking their orders from their bosses in Hanoi and that Joe McCarthy was an honorable man. I loved debating him (or her.) Some people see seditionists in every crack and crevice.

I remember TokenConservative.

The threads where he argued against global warming were epic. Also he really hated teachers at public schools....or was it just teachers in general?

As long as everyone else ignores her too, I'd agree with you. If, however, she gathers a following that has some impact on the political process, then ignoring her would not seem to be a good idea.

Is there any support to her claims that Cronkite was a "red" or is this just more mental diarrhea for the Fox News crowd to eat up (and accept without checking for any veracity behind the claims?)

Because he came out against the Vietnam war, I suppose.

No, obviously that doesn't make him a "red" except in the minds of people like Pam Geller.

ETA: maybe there's a little more. Looking at the Wiki article on his political activism:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_...tical_activism

None of his political activism was actually pro-communist, but he was in favor of world government, which in the minds of right-wingers is almost the same thing.

ETA2: Of course, all of his political activism was after he retired from CBS News. I think he mostly kept his personal political opinions out of his reports as CBS News anchor.
