Video representations of different natural phenomenon our senses don't notice

Any sort of video that people have made to give us a sort of simplified visualization of things happening in nature that we can not see at the scale of existence we exist in, or with the small spectra of the EM field we can see with, or with our limitation of our other senses in general, post here.

The inner life of the cell (short version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJyUtbn0O5Y

Inner life of the cell (full version with explanations of what biological process is being represented)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKW4F0Nu-UY

That's probs my favorite one to date.

There should be some about EM spectra in space, or of deeper scales of reality like atomic? Maybe animals using ultrasound video representations?

If there's not, I'll be making them, when I've mastered my CGI program better.

Really nothing else apart from in the op? Surely there are other beautiful representations of things our senses can't.

Predator view from the 1987 Vietnam documentary The Predator?

Seriously though, a representational video of "heat" vision is (obviously) possible. I'm not so sure about a video of how bat's "view" ultrasound.

ETA: Though I have seen it attempted before. Usually they have concentric white lines on black background that "echo" like ripples on a pond.

I don't remember off hand what I have seen it in.

For me, I think this qualifies and (as I do a little gliding) quite fascinating.

Thermalator - Fluid dynamics thermal simulation

Intended as a qualitative simulation only, for which I would claim some worth. Many beginning soaring pilots have difficulty visualizing the structure of thermals... this was developed to help with that. Areas of sink between areas of lift, weak lift surrounding stronger cores, small thermals lower down coalescing into larger ones higher up, cyclic thermal generation, the general turbulent and meandering nature of thermals, etc. rrcroman in reply to soundglider

I doubt that bats would experience or perceive it as concentric ripples - they only hear the scrambled reflections.

There is a much higher quality version of the video in the op now here:

And I found another one that sort of qualifies ... the maths and coding of nature may not always be that obvious to the untrained eye, but it is everywhere:

Nature by Numbers

A beautiful short film inspired by numbers, geometry and nature, created by Spanish graphic designer, 3D animator and modeler, animation filmmaker, Cristóbal Vila (http://www.etereaestudios.com/) ~ It illustrates how the Fibonacci sequence and the Divine Proportion figure in Nature's designs.

Alternative Vimeo mirror here if the audio is banned (think it's banned in Germany)

I expect so ... I know many biology related students that have told me their university lecturers used it at the beginning of the year to inspire them into the subject.
