good video capture program?

I have to explain the workings of our e-commerce website to a number of absolutely hopeless clients.
Some are a bit older and not used to ordering on-line.

What's a good program to make an instructional video? I'm on PC.

No personal experience but I seem to recall Camtasia coming up when this topic is mentioned. For $300 it better be good.

If that is outside the budget then here is a list of 10 free programs for screen recording.
