And how about that defense? They seemed to take issue with convicting him for the sins of others? Isn't that the Christian way?

Some states require care givers to report abuse, but my understanding is that it is not generally a criminal offense to avoid reporting a crime.

To the RC clergy, a confessed "sin" is forgiven, secular authority need not be bothered with it.
That the "sin" -is- a crime is not considered.

I'm sure that people at the whole university are scared pantless. A couple of major lawsuits and they could be out of business. That would be, in my opinion, adding another tragedy on top of the ones suffered by the kids.

Exactly - I was thinking of professors who were never anywhere near the damn field house or wherever it was, and students who probably hadn't even enrolled when Sandusky started his "special coaching".
