I'm not sure if this pertains to the debate going on here, but there is still not a huge rush of people to accept this offer, despite national unemployment still over 8%.

ETA: Full disclosure: I too would not accept those jobs, yet I value our reliable and inexpensive food supply.

I think amnesty/immunity (for employees and employers) and a viable guest worker program is the best solution.

ETA: At any rate, as I mentioned earlier, the push/pull incentives for illegal immigration into the U.S. change all the time, and currently has pretty much stopped it. The issue--especially wrt Arizona's SB1070-- isn't illegal immigration, but the presence of illegals already here.
