TAM 2012 airport ride sharing?

I know the South Point has an airport shuttle, but is there a thread or forum somewhere for travelers for whom the shuttle timing doesn't work?

I don't think there is a thread for this.

I'm arriving around 10:30pm on Tuesday, after the free shuttle closes, and would very much like to split a cab with other TAMmers.

Other than the one I just linked to, no, there isn't.

The arrival times are there.

My advice - pay attention in the taxi line. Last year I met Dr. Jen there, we passed each other as the line folded back, but I was so out of it from traveling that I totally spaced on offering to share a taxi!

I'm taking a taxi. If anyone wants to ride with me, you're paying.

And if you don't want to ride with Scrut, you have to pay double!

When Scrut says he's "taking a taxi", what does he mean by it?
(And frankly, I'm not sure learning it's a double-entendre would relieve or unnerve me.)

Anyway, I'm arriving at 21h13 on July 11, so if anyone of you will be in the airport at around that time, I'm willing to share a cab.

I (and two others) will be arriving at 3:37Pm Wednesday (11th) and I will have a Minivan so if you're close to that time, drop me a PM (but do it by the 5th, I'm on vacation after that).

It's Las Vegas. I'm sure there's a dancer named Taxi somewhere for just that reason.

For anyone unable to take the hotel shuttle and not finding someone to share a cab, the various shuttle services from the airport are another inexpensive option and they run 24 hours:

https://www.mccarran.com/Go/Shuttles.aspx

I've taken these to hotels on the Strip and they aren't bad (they take longer than a cab, of course), but don't know what going to the South Point (which would be "off-Strip") would be like. Anyone tried that?

For another inexpensive option, there are buses: http://www.rtcsouthernnevada.com/
I think you'd take the 109 bus from the airport to the South Strip Transfer Terminal, then the 117 bus to South Point.

My plane arrives at 6 PM the 11th. The shuttle leaves at 6:30 and the next one is at 8. I doubt that I can make the 6:30 shuttle. If anyone wants to share a cab, let me know.

I'm arriving at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night the 11th. I'll share a cab with anyone else who is arriving at that time. Last year I found two other people by just asking "Who's going to south point" in the cab line.

I'm arriving at around 2100 (9pm) on the 11th. I'll holler in the cab line as to attract attention from any other TAMers hanging out in front of the airport.

Make a Loon cry, nice and loud.
The ones that lived near where I grew up made a call of 4 short and 3 long whistles. Use that. It'll help me find the cab line...

I can make a Loon cry, if I tell him he's flunking out of medical school.

I'm getting in at 1:30 pm on Wed. My sister will be picking me up and ferrying me to the South Point. Her car is small, a bit busted, and may have a baby seat in it somewhere. I should be able to fit at least one person. It'll probably be about 2:30 by the time she shows up and I get my luggage.
