Cell phones and rental by the minute are a growing cottage industry in small villages in India, and that empowers the women who are doing it.
This is nothing more than a way to try to strip the empowerment, and push the women back into virtual slavery. |

If the daughter elopes with her significant other... does the dowry have to get paid?
I assume that if this is the case, then possibly a big reason for the push for this ban are the boy's parents going nuts because they're not getting a dowry from the bride's family. If that's not the case, then... I dunno. |
