I do think women who want to be in combat units should have to meet the same PT standards as their male counterparts, but I don't believe stature in of itself means a hell of lot when it comes combat ability. A good example would be Audie Murphy, one of the US Army's most combat decorated soldiers, who was all of 5' 5" and 110 lbs.; not exactly an imposing physical specimen.

Funny you should mention him. To Hell & Back was on TMC a few days ago & my cousin said something along the lines of "Can you imagine our wives out there with them, slowing them down?" I pointed out that my wife is 2" taller & 5lbs heavier than Murphy. His wife is half a foot taller & 50lbs heavier.

To Hell & Back was on TMC a few days ago & my cousin said something along the lines of "Can you imagine our wives out there with them, slowing them down?" I pointed out that my wife is 2" taller & 5lbs heavier than Murphy. His wife is half a foot taller & 50lbs heavier.
