The great Goon Show is, not surprisingly, dead wrong.

The "Eccles" entity didn't have to be somewhere. The Eccles entity didn't have to be anywhere at all. Ever. The Eccles entity eventually emerged against near-infinite odds against ever being anywhere, during the universal quantum crap-shoot that occurred shortly after the big bang.

But once Eccles emerged, he did, in fact, have to be somewhere.

And I am sure everyone needs to be constantly reminded that they exist, 1=1, yada yada yada, and so on.

But that's not the question. That's the brute fact that gives rise to the question.

But no longer the question as far as I'm concerned, as I have now completely lost interest in discussing the matter.

Awk! The probability that I exist is 1! Awk! The probability that I exist is 1! Awk! The probability that I exist is 1! Awk!...

That's a very convincing parrot impersonation Toontown.

Perhaps too convincing.

Since it's been established in this topic that surface appearance is the same as deeper meaning, and that making things up makes them true, perhaps Toontown really is a parrot.

I am quite sure adequate intellectual resources are available here to beat about the bush of deeper meaning without my participation. I've seen people in philosophy forums beat about that bush for months on end. Then I"ve looked in months later to find the same bush being beaten about, much as it was being beaten about in earlier epochs.

As for making things up to make them true - no need to bother with that. Just stick with the standard tautologies. Can't go wrong there.

In most of the philosophy I studied the bush turned out to be the subject.

In most of the philosophical discussions I"ve observed, the participants demonstrated little more than a stubborn determination to avoid actually getting at the bush - a determination which has succeeded in preventing any of these matters from being settled over the course of millenia.

What are the odds that you were so lucky?
1.

Thanks for asking.

I know how you feel, the cognitive dissonance can be strong around here. You should try engaging some of these people in a scholarly discussion concerning bottsrgeddon.

the wrap tags are[yt] and ['/yt] (sans the apostrophe)

You take the ending of your video, which is "zw7AYJikDJE" and paste it between the wrap tags

and voila!

At first I was going to make some sarcastic comment about your reading comprehension because you appear to have understood my post to mean something diametrically opposed to my intent. Then I went back and reread my post and realized in an electronic format where tone cannot be heard and therefore intent not discerned it may have been ambiguous. Just to clarify, I was not being sarcastic towards you, I was sympathizing with you.

You're rather vocal in a thread you've lost interest in.

Lack of interest is usually shown by not posting.

So what is it that you are so interested in? I suppose it must be very important to you to explain to me how disinterest is usually shown. However, I can assure you that I have zero interest in your opinion about how disinterest should be shown.
