Now, now, most any picture is better with Luciana in it...
![]() Looking at me is not all that great a pleasure....Seriously, all of us took literally 100's of shots, but Walter and I are still at TAM, Morrigan is still recuperating from her trip, and HamRadioguy isn't about that much anymore. I'll get some up soon as I can. |

Proof that we really made the trip. (Yes, Hutch WAS there, but hiding behind the camera.)

It was an INCREDIBLE trip. It was everything I hoped for - and Hutch even climbed the same hill, twice, for me.
How incredible is that? But it was worth it. We were there to see the Grand Prismatic Spring, and we did see it when the sky was overcast and three storms were visible in the horizon... and again the next morning, with blue skies, while the spring was steaming harder than ever. Morrigan, as a roommate, is her usual wonderful self; and everybody else was just as amazing. We ate game almost every night and that's probably what made me strong enough to withstand the flu, that never really put me down, out of sheer stubborness. Also, Morrigan could make a living out of being a "on the road DJ", for her atmospheric and at times whimsical choices. And that's how we approached the Grand Tetons as one would approach Mordor. ![]() One day one of us will tell the story of how we dropped Morrigan at 5:58pm for a flight leaving at 6:20pm, and how the security officer had to lift the shutters of the airport to allow her in. And poor Morrigan consoling herself in the long road to the airport thinking that if she lost that flight she could get the next and not miss her two consecutive flights. Little did she know - or we, as we sped through Wyoming, with Walt making some breathtaking passes - that not only hers was the last flight, but that the aiport closed at SIX! That lady at the check-in counter had to literally scribble Morrigan's boarding pass because the system was already out for the day. Hutch and the guys followed her all the way through to make sure that Morrigan would be inside the plane before we ourselves took off for our hotel. If she missed that flight she would miss her two connections and, much worse, the Iron Maiden concert she wanted so much to go. (was it worth it, Morrigan?)

Heyyy welcome back.
How was your TAM-without-a-TAM? And yes, it was worth it, one of the very best concerts I've seen in my life. Alice Cooper + Iron Maiden, rarely gets better than this! Glad you enjoyed my DJing, and yes, again, massive thanks to Walt (whom I believe I kept calling "Wayne" the whole time thinking it was his first name... *facepalm*) for taking all those driving risks for me. That was sooooo close, I never want to go through this again. ![]() I still haven't sorted through all my hundreds of photos yet, removing the duds and whatnot. What about you guys, any of those online on some Flickr or Photobucket album yet? |

Finally had a chance to look through your other photo albums, great stuff Morrigan.
It was a treat travelling with you guys. I got to see a part of America I probably wouldn't have and hang out with good company. Sorting through the photos is daunting. So far I've rotated them to upright, but culling them will take a bit longer. |

Thanks Way... Walt!
Looking forward to see yours. And the others's. I think they got the best group pictures since they had the better cameras.On-topic, I saw this today on Totallylookslike (a silly time-waster site): ![]()

Now a question to my traveling companions (Hamradioguy, Hutch, Walt, Luciana):
...Where the hell are YOUR pics?! I think the nicest group shots were taken with Hamradioguy's camera. I wanna see!

Mine were so-so, coming from a rather broken-down camera, and Chip tends to take his time getting the pictures just so....
However.....(click to enlarge) My travelling companions at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone ![]() The Dragon's Mouth, and it even sounded like it. ![]() Beehive Geyser, which might have been even more impressive than Old Faithful ![]() The Grand Tetons are...Grand ![]() Bacteria can be beautiful (Grand Prismatic Spring) ![]() Morning Glory Pool ![]() I'll see if any of the others are worth posting. |
