Australian Olympic swimmer is at it again, this time in a skimpy swimsuit

Quote:
Swimmer Stephanie Rice, who swims for a living while wearing a swimsuit in a swimming pool, is catching flak in her native Australia for tweeting a picture of herself in a swimsuit. The nerve of some people.

Story and picture here

Is Australian swimming kinda like American's Hollywood? In other words do people get angry with them for doing things that regular people do? It sure appears that way. Entertaining nonetheless lol.

Where is the racy picture?

Oh I found it. Honestly the bottom of that suit is not very flattering on her. If you're an Olympic swimmer and you don't look perfect in a bikini, there's something wrong with the bikini.

Um... It's not summer in Melbourne right now, Ace.

If it's a 'racy' swimsuit, then I vote she 'races' in it. More pics please.

And 46 is our record high, not an average summer day. 25-32 covers most days.

I don't know where that guy gets his info from, but she really isn't "copping flak" for it. When I Google her name, all that comes up are stories about it being "racy", nothing about how unprofessional or classless it was or how much dust it has kicked up, as you'd expect according to the quote in the OP. The only one that comes close is an article called "Stephanie Rice Photo in Bikini Draws Fire, Should She Have Known Better?"... from freaking Christian Post, whatever that is. I, at least, haven't seen any mainstream news about it whatsoever.

I've hit a spate of stories from American news outlets lately that seem to promulgate things incorrectly when it comes to what's happening here. The Young Turks on YouTube have covered stories on which they were completely uninformed. I could really do without the unwarranted negative spin on stories from sources from which people get information about my or someone else's country, to be honest.

True, she needs a high cut bottom to lengthen her legs and shorten her torso.

I kind of figured this. I mainly posted it because it was a funny coincidence to the other story about the guns and Australian swimmers.

IS that what you call "racy swimsuit" down under ?

BWAHAHAHA.

OK here is a series of link which might not be safe for work but are more or less only picture of women in sexy swimsuit which are much racier than the bland swimsuit bikini that olympic swimmer got.

http://www.bridallingerie.me/tag/swimwear

http://www.pspgamesthemes.com/psp-wa...d-ice-tea.html

That picture of the olympic swimmer has pretty much only a bikini. It covers as much as any other normal bikini it jsut got a few black band added.

As far as bikini go, that is pretty bland.

Apparently that is a designer swim suit. Just mean you add a couple of zeros to the price and call it good. The average beach in summer would produce far better examples of current Australian bikini technology.

1) Create false controversy over skimpy swimsuit photo
2) Use coverage of said controversy as excuse to print the photo

Sex isn't immoral. Being scantily clad isn't immoral. Hell, showing of one's naked body isn't immoral (in my case it would be particularly vulgar and I don't mean in a good way).

So, in some contexts this picture might be inappropriate or in bad taste. But there is nothing about this particular story that warrants any concern whatsoever. Well, concern over the coercive ethics of tight ass prudes I suppose. **** them.

Funniest thing about that link is that the pic of Steph in her 'racy' swimsuit is one of the story links on the right of the page... right next to the naked triple jumper.

Actually where I am from in Australia at the north and south ends of most of the beaches the ladies usually wore what I call an Aussie one piece, or as it is sometimes known, the bottom half of a bikini.
Then again, some girls went with boardies and bikini tops or even thongs and rashies. Variety is good.
