Be fair. DOC never said "mild." Therefore, they can only beat you lightly -- no worse than a sunburn.

Now isn't that better?

Which account was it then? Don't forget to provide a link to your direct answer to this question.

Then you might be so good as to provide the non-biblical evidence that supports that account.

Is there a Poe-like Internet law that states that optimism is indistinguishable from sarcasm?

You know, some people pay good money for those beatings! And you get them for free, and still have the gall to complain!

I mean, you could just be killed out of hand! Regular beatings are an absolute mercy, I tell you!

I should note that those are the genuine hieroglyphs for 'servant' (njs) and 'beat' (hwj).

Another round for being edumicational, noble Apteryx?

An actual comment by a Domme who didn't intend the pun.

Just to clarify: is it "servant" or "slave"? "beat" or "sunburn"?

Does it matter? As we have learned: "servant" = "slave" and "beat" = "sunburn".

Archaeology tells us that the Iron Age began ca. 1100 BCE. According to a literal interpretation of the Bible, the flood would have occurred at least about 4000 BCE. Presumably, Noah and his sons carried with them the knowledge of the civilized arts extant at their time, from just before the flood. This would have included, among other things: domestication of plants and animals, pottery, weaving, the wheel and metallurgy. As to the last of these, according to the Bible this would have included iron working as well as the smelting of bronze (Gen. 4:22):

Zillah bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron.

So, my question for DOC, edge and any others who accept this as the literal truth, is this:

If human beings living before the flood knew how to make tools and weapons out of iron, and if the flood occurred around 4000 BCE, why weren't any of the descendants of Noah using iron before ca. 1100?
