anonymous hacks ussc.gov
Anonymous has hacked the United States Sentencing Commission's website in retribution for Aaron Swartz's death, as they recently said they would. They left behind a rather amusing Easter egg.

A little more on the story: Anonymous claims they have retrieved nine secret DOJ files, and have spread encrypted versions (for the record, I do not encourage you, dear reader, to break the law and download the files yourself). These files are useless without an encryption key. The demand is immediate reform of federal sentencing guidelines, or Anonymous will release the key. Since I don't expect that to happen, it appears there may be a major compromise in government secrets in the near future.

They're bluffing, just like wikileaks did with their "warhead" that revealed nothing anyone who reads newspapers didn't already know.

Following attacks on U.S. government websites last weekend, Anonymous seems to have made a new "Operation Last Resort" .gov website strike Sunday night. Anonymous appears to have published login and private information from over 4,000 American bank executive accounts in the name of its new Operation Last Resort campaign, demanding U.S. computer crime law reform. |

What happened to the super-secret "DOJ" files they were going to release? Oh wait, they're not actually DOJ files, they're just some email account usernames and passwords. Anonymous does it again, everybody.
