He didn't seem to do much tailor his pitch to his audience. Maybe that's a good thing though because tailoring is basically pandering. And when he does pander it's kind of embarrassing. Like when he mentioned that he had grits for breakfast when campaigning in the south. This time at least he had the good sense not to mention his fondness for burritos. |

The man is doing the split.
He is roughly on the same page as Obama, ad seen by his voting record. But he has to pretend to be on board with the Teabaggers. Then they send him out on the road to project this image outside the safety of the Teabagger bubble, meet the rest of the country face-to-face and answer questions. There's nothing to envy in a man who's debasing himself and who's selling something he doesn't believe in. Poor Mitt. |
