'Twas the day after apocalypse
and all throughout the land,
the prophets and believers
simply could not understand.

No cataclysmic earthquakes,
And no meteoric rain.
No bright galactic portals dawning
on a higher plane.

No monsters and no aliens,
No zombies, nothing strange.
Not even something inside they could
call a spiritual change.

Could it be they got it wrong?
And to the facts were blind?
Would they find the change they sought
was just a change of mind?

Maybe all those prophets were just
salesmen in the end.
Whose wares and revelations
On our ignorance depend.

They now would no more buy the lies,
No more the truth distorted.
They'll check and research their beliefs:
make sure they're well supported.

They unsubscribed their mailing lists.
And those wares they did possess?
They packed away and gave away
and threw away that mess!

From empty claims of fear and doom
They now would be immune.
They'd now relax, with just the facts.

(Until their next “baktun”.)

Actually I don't work there, a mutual friend was reporting & we were a little worried.

As it turns out though, he went up into the mountains to at least be in his happy place, when nothing happened he spent the day reflecting & decided he'd start looking at non-woo sources. So maybe a good thing.

Well December 21st has come and gone and we are all alive and well. The post I'm quoting was made on the 13th so it seems yet once again the BOTTSRGEDDON scholars were correct in their scholarly analysis of matters pertaining to 2012. The pile of empirical evidence continues to grow.
