I've never ever opened any mail that is not directly from a friend or in response to a mail i've sent.
I try to avoid ever using my email address in anything and i'm very suspicious of any request for personal details. Even this site requested my home address to register.. err why.. ? my postal address is none of their business. If I can get away with it I always use false details, if a site requests my email I will think twice before using it - as generally the only possible reason they want it is to send spam. In the UK from December it is illegal to send anyone a mail etc unless they specifically give you permission to do so. Which won't solve much but its a step in the right direction. AX |

That is some generally good advice, but my e-mail address necessarily appears on my work-related web site.
