Yet another modern retelling of Genesis I

I got creative last week-end. Inspired by some of theads on a simulated universe in the science and mathematics section, I wrote this. I reread it and decided I would go ahead and post it. I know, there's lots of similar ones out there, most of which are probably better. But this one is mine. I hope it provides entertainment to the members of this forum.

Another modern retelling of Genesis I

Before time and space existed in our space-time continuum, the programmers conceived and created a way for their space-time continuum to host our universe.

Our space-time continuum was without structure; a point singularity of potential in the vacuum from which it will be born. The programmers conceived of a way of staying that instant of potential for the smallest possible iota of measurable space-time. Our universe inflated instantly and continues to do so to this day.

The programmers observed the inflation event. They were pleased with what they had wrought. The programmers then separated the energy from the vacuum. The programmers defined names for thees two distinct and opposite aspects of our universe; we call them by many different names: light and darkness, energy and vacuum, yin and yang, good and evil, order and chaos, p and not p, night and day. This was the first stage of being for our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined the existence of one-dimensional matter in our space-time continuum – string. The programmers created strings to act as an interface between our space-time continuum and the programmers’ space-time continuum. And so it is to this day.

The programmers defined these connections between the two separate space-time continuums as “Heaven”. This was the second stage of being for our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined strings to attract matter in other dimensions of our space-time continuum, which made some parts of our space-time continuum denser than others in those dimensions. And so it is to this day.

The programmers defined new states of precipitated energy - solid and liquid matter. The programmers observed these additional states of energy and were pleased with our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined the solid matter to interact with the liquid matter such that life would emerge and evolve. And so it is to this day.

The programmers observed evolution resulting in life in our universe and were pleased with our space-time continuum. This was the third stage of being for our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined stars and galaxies. These are a blessing to us as they give us the ability to count the passage of time and to learn much about what may happen to our planet in the future. Their light enlightens us about our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined our sun and our moon, the sun to warm our earth and coax life out of her; the moon to aid us in our quest to banish the darkness that surrounds us. The programmers continued to define stars and galaxies, planets and moons. If we closely observe them, they will provide us with knowledge of our space-time continuum.

Galaxies and Stars create light by condensing energy into matter, which is gathered from the darkness of the vacuum. The programmers observed this and were pleased with our space-time continuum. This was the fourth stage of being for our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined evolution to occur in our space-time continuum, with the creatures of the stars and vacuum developing first. Once defined, evolution proceeded, with each generation being mainly like the one before it but filling our space-time continuum with a multitude of diverse lifeforns over billions of generations. Life was diverse and abundant in our universe and the programmers were pleased.

The programmers approved the model and allowed it to run uninterrupted in order to fill our space-time continuum with life. This was the fifth stage of being for our space-time continuum.

The programmers defined life on our planet to evolve with each generation like the one before. And so it is to this day. And the programmers defined the evolution of life on our planet to have nearly perfect reproduction of the genetic information from one generation to the next. The programmers observed the effect of this; the diversity of life on our planet resulting from their simple rules and the passage of time and they were pleased.

And the programmers conferred and said “Let us design a creature here that is like us. It can control the world and everything in it as we would.”

So the programmers created us to contain a likeness of their own nature. Male and female, they created us. We are blessed to be like the programmers. The programmers made us their stewards of this planet. They allow us free reign over our planet. We may use the resources of this planet as we think fit.

The programmers were very pleased with everything they had created on our planet. This was the sixth stage of being for our space-time continuum.
