Ron Paul, going the distance

His latest video on youtube: 5000 comments 215 views?

Seems odd?

What are you implying?

I've never posted anything on youtube...is it possible that the poster reset the view counter?

The # of views is not updated right away, all youtube videos are like that. Or youtube has conspired to keep Paul down, either way.

I have a few videos on youtube, I don't think I can reset the counter.

I think the counter only counts the times the complete video was viewed. And it's a long video, probably the Ronulans just go there and rate it and comment on it without actually viewing the whole thing.

It would be so freaking great if the Ronulans begun thinking the YouTube, their main source of information on the world, was in on the Evil Anti Paul Conspiracy.
But we ain't that lucky.....

It takes up to a day for the YouTube counter to update. There's no rhyme or reason to it, it just does. Probably just something they do to conserve resources.

Is it my immagination, or does it look like it was designed by a 19th century gravestone cutter?

Well, its been over a day. View count still at 213. Comments at 7357. Ratings at 6854.

If you subtract these numbers and add 4 it comes to 911. 911 was an inside job.

Seriously though, this is frickin weird. He was talking about a march on DC too.

Ron Paul is going the distance, apparently Alan Keyes is going the distance and Mike Gravel is going the distance.

So we have three people who really seem to have no hope in hell still running.

With $25k cash on hand and $500k in debts, Keyes could have is work cut out for him.

Gravel has $18k cash on hand and $86k in debts, he too faces an uphill battle.

On Dec. 31st Paul had $7.8 million cash on hand, I heard he bought gold bullion with his donations in preparation for 2012.

In 2012 I may throw $25k into an election fund and say I'm running for President, with enough web activism we could shame the media into including me in the debates so I could run on proclaiming myself the only true heir to the constitution and founding fathers.

I must say that this is an interesting concept, this "internet popularity as a political indicator" thing. I look forward to the inauguration of our next president, RedHotMommasDotCom.

For some reason, this reminds me of the person I miss most in this campaign: Molly Ivens. She would be having a ball with Paul, Gravel, et. al. And in the process, imparting some much needed sanity.

Ron Paul keeps going strong. In the Potomac primaries, he's been battling hard for 3rd place with Mitt Romney, who's packed his stuff and gone home.

Tricky, you have given me an idea. We need to start the MILF party, promoting qualified female candidates for Senate, Congress, state, and Presidential elections. 2012 approaches quickly, how about we get an organizational meeting together at that Hooters in Houston a few miles from your place a suitably refined locale?

If Fred Thompson could just get his trophy wife preggers and she gave birth to a child, she would be the presumptive candidate, and she'd get what she wanted: a chance to run for president. Bipartisan to a fault, Dennis the Menace's missus would be the leading contender.

Donors? No problem. Seen how much money strip clubs make? Their customers are the voter base we'd be tapping into.

Why does this make me think of Cake's "Going the Distance" and giggle like a schoolgirl?

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
Engines pumping and thumping in time.
The green light flashes, the flags go up.
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.
They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.
Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.
Their prowess is potent and secretly stern.
As they speed through the finish, the flags go down.
The fans get up and they get out of town.
The arena is empty except for one man,
Still driving and striving as fast as he can.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But hes driving and striving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.

Hes going the distance.
Hes going for speed.
Shes all alone
In her time of need.
Because hes racing and pacing and plotting the course,
Hes fighting and biting and riding on his horse,
Hes going the distance.

No trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no wine,
Hes haunted by something he cannot define.
Bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse,
Assail him, impale him with monster-truck force.
In his mind, hes still driving, still making the grade.
Shes hoping in time that her memories will fade.
Cause hes racing and pacing and plotting the course,
Hes fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But hes striving and driving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.

Cause hes going the distance.
Hes going for speed.
Shes all alone
In her time of need.
Because hes racing and pacing and plotting the course,
Hes fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
Hes racing and pacing and plotting the course,
Hes fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
Hes going the distance.
Hes going for speed.
Hes going the distance.

That's all you need to know about Ron Paul. A survivalist with a mailing list before the election, a survivalist with a web page and internet forums after the election. How he was ever construed as something else must be some kind cosmic joke.

That is only because of box office fraud and the Diebold ticket counting machines.

It is rhetoric similar to what you have quoted, that leads me to believe his denial of courting the truthers is a sham. I think he is full on truther, and simply denied it due to the political suicide it would result in.
