Was a boring debate IMO, compared to others.

I thought Barack looked and spoke very presidential. I think Hillary came off in the first part as very upset, and even whiny, although she settled down for the second half.

It will be interesting to see how many times the word "fighter" is uttered in the next few days.

I was unimpressed with Obama in this debate. He was nowhere near as good as he was in the Texas debate, and his humour was missing. He had presidential points, but where was the entertainment?

I was waiting for his trademark one-liner ('Hillary I look forward to you advising me', 'I'd have to investigate Bill's dancing ability before I could more accurately judge if he was indeed a brother', 'I've been giving these speeches.. and I've got to admit, they're pretty good')

Perhaps he needs a big audience to feed off like in Texas and isn't as good in one on one (See, you get criticisms from Obama supporters too).

That said, I often mistook Hillary for the devil that pops up on your shoulder (In this case, Obama's right shoulder).

I didn't get to watch the debate, I only got to read the transcript. That's not quit the same thing and I hope that the debate, in its entirety, will get posted to a web site soon.

Obama and Clinton are in agreement on many issues, but where they differ I usually agree with Clinton. For example, I agree that a single payor Health Care system probably won't work if people aren't obligated to pay their share. I think there would be too many people who would be willing to try to game the system. However, I agree with Obama that it would be cruel to garnish or fine someone who is struggling to make ends meet -- so perhaps the answer is to fund the health system from our taxes. But for the people who have never paid for health insurance because they couldn't afford the premiums, if their share of the increased taxes due to health premiums aren't offset by reduced costs in another area -- its still going to be very tough for them. I can see that tough choices would have to be made to implement a universal health care system.

But I digress. The main point I want to make is that despite the fact that I usually agree with Clinton in the few areas that Clinton and Obama differ, I still intend to vote for Obama. I just can't see Clinton building a coalition or getting enough cooperaton from Congress to get anything accomplished.

And I positively could not believe what I was reading when I got to that part where Clinton said denounce is not the same as reject. And she was pretty annoying in her opening also.

I am just amazed that she has never made Obama lose his temper. Maybe that's why he didn't come up with any funny one-liners last night, perhaps he was struggling not to lose it. But its easy to see he is keeping his eyes on the big picture and determined to keep the campaign positive. Thank goodness for that, otherwise the campaign could have very easily turned into "silly season" as he puts it.

Yeah, you should watch it to hear the crowd's reaction to her "reject and denounce are two different things".

I only saw the second half, but the moderator was such a douche with the anti-semite thing.
