Eric Clapton to play Pyongyang?

Eric Clapton has been invited to play a concert in Pyongyang, North Korea next year

Rock 'n Roll is banned in North Korea, but now Eric Clapton has been invited to play a concert. Strange. Inexplicable. Is Kim Jong Il going wobbly? What is happening here?

Eric Clapton's concert follows the New York Philharmonic trip there last week. How can I get tickets? I have access to nuclear fuel.

Will it be with slightly modified lyrics?

"Kim Il Sung, you got me on my knees
Kim Il Sung, I'm begging Great Leader please..."

"She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie, Juche"

Maybe if you hum a few bars he will pick it up.

Been a long lowly, lowly, lowly, lowly time.

Oh, wait, that was Led Zepplin.

Clapton's blues are a fine way to sooth the savage beast. Speaking of savage beasts, how's Kim Jong Il?

A pyongyang sounds like it should be an indigineous Australian instrument that Rolf Harris brought to fame, and that Clapton subsequently used in compositions.
