What will signal the death of the 9-11 Truth Movemant?

1. Lack of ability to get 50 people at national events?

2. Lack of posters at Loose Change forum?

3. Alex Jones becomes a truck driver?

4. Willy Rodriquez becomes friends with Cheney?

5. The Truth Movemant is already dead. Die hards simply falsefy an
illusion that it is still breathing.

I agree with WildCat.

But #5 should be amended as follows:

5. The Truth Movement is already clinically dead. Die hards simply falsify an illusion that it is still breathing, and debunkers keep it artificially alive by still reacting to the nonsense it produces.

You should add "6. When NWO gets their plans set, all the members at the Loose Change forum will 'dissapear', marking the beginning of the end of the 9-11 truth movement".

I'd go with 5. They ran out of claims to back themselves up.

I'm afraid the movement will never die. Not as long as we can't cure mental illness, rid the world of charlatans, or prevent people without the ability to think critically from posting on Internet forums.

The truth movement isn't physically dead, it's merely in a state somewhere between deep coma and brain dead.

There are a few die-hard truthers insisting that their "movement" will one day regain consciousness, however, the outlook is very dim, it's shown no signs of conscious thought or movement for a long time. The following vital signs will be indicators that all life functions of the truth movement have ceased:

- David Ray Griffin no longer hired to give lectures about his theories, forced to either go into retirement or get another job.
- The "Journal of 911 studies" website expires and is replaced by a popup advertising/porn site.
- Rob Balsamo takes introductory level high school Physics course and realizes he doesn't know what he's talking about.
- >50% of current "9/11 truth" related domain names expire
- NIST's report on WTC7 is released, drawing criticism from a few remaining truthers, yet none are able to refute any of the claims or the science.
- Remaining truthers graduate high school, discover girls, and/or move out of their parents' home.

The clouds will part and the bells of Heaven will ring out as angels sing and all living things embrace each other in ever lasting peace and harmony as everyone joins hands and sings folk music on a grassy hill.

Or it becomes the butt of jokes in bad SNL sketches.

You got a great point there. I guess debunkers have gone past the point of debunking, and now may only work to give the Toothers attention.

They may be one of the few groups, who if ignored, might simply go away.

They'll be around for a generation, just like the JFK, Waco, etc. Fringe thought goes thru fads of popularity but a few die hards always remain. One can still come across WWI conspiracy nuts and in science there are a few believers in Velikovsky and Sitchin still around.

I would expect there will be another large tragedy/event at some point in the future and that will trigger more conspiracy action. I'm also sure the new president will cause someone to think he'll be the one to impose martial law and throw 99% of the population into FEMA camps.

Dude, since i stopped posting at LC, that forum has dropped off considerably. It appears, that if they are not getting attention, they go back to sucking their thumbs and pouting.

The TM will be dead when their biggest rallies (planned months in advance) fail to draw a fraction of the crowd that other movements get with a single day's notice.

For example, the Toronto TM gets between 1 and 12 people at their monthly rallies while the Free Tibet movement got 1,000+ this past weekend.

In other words, the TM is dead.

yeah, if they can only get 10 people to a rally, they really arent much of a movemant. its more like the 9-11 Truth Clubhouse.

Look for a very bright circular object in the sky, preferably around noon. For those sight impaired, it will also be detectable by the pleasant warmth it radiates. That will be the signal that the 'truth' movement is dead.

I fully expect the death of the Trvth Movement the day after the death of the Kennedy Conspiracy Movement, which I expect to follow immediately after the death of the Lincoln Conspiracy Movement, which I gather will follow shortly after the death of the Jesus Was Assasinated By Pontius Pilate Movement.

I've noticed all Truthers do anymore is work to "pwn" us debunkers, they're not actually working toward a new investigation or anything.

I wonder if we all just took a break from discussing 9/11 for like a month, if the Truth Movement would wither away into dust.

Mr. Praline: I'm sorry, I have a cold. I wish to make a complaint!

Owner: We're closin' for lunch.

Mr. Praline: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain about this movement what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique.

Owner: Oh yes, the, uh, the Truth Movement...What's,uh...What's wrong with it?

Mr. Praline: I'll tell you what's wrong with it, my lad. It's dead, that's what's wrong with it!

Owner: No, no, it's uh,... it's just asking questions.

Mr. Praline: Look, matey, I know a dead movement when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now.

Owner: No no it's not dead, it's, it's just asking questions! Remarkable movement, the Truth Movement, idn'it, ay? Beautiful videos!

Mr. Praline: The videos don't enter into it. It's stone dead.

Owner: Nononono, no, no! It's just asking questions!

Mr. Praline: All right then, if it's just asking questions, I'll wake it up! (shouting at the cage) 'Ello, Mister Truth Movement! I've got a lovely fresh Hollywood Deal for you if you show...

(owner hits the cage)

Owner: There, it moved!

Mr. Praline: No, it didn't, that was you hitting the cage!

Owner: I never!!

Mr. Praline: Yes, you did!

Owner: I never, never did anything...

Mr. Praline: (yelling and hitting the cage repeatedly) 'ELLO TRUTHY!!!!! Testing! Testing! Testing! Testing! This is your nine o'clock alarm call!

(Takes movement out of the cage and thumps its head on the counter. Throws it up in the air and watches it plummet to the floor.)

Mr. Praline: Now that's what I call a dead movement.

Owner: No, no.....No, it's staw-manned!

Mr. Praline: STRAW-MANNED?!?

Owner: Yeah! You straw-manned it, just as it was wakin' up! Truth Movements straw-man easily, major.

Mr. Praline: Um...now look...now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this. That movement is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not 'alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of progress was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk through a bullhorn.

Owner: Well, it's...it's, ah...probably pining for an enquiry.

Mr. Praline: PININ' for an ENQUIRY?!?!?!? What kind of talk is that?, look, why did it fall flat on its face the moment I got it home?

Owner: The Truth Movement prefers crawlin' on its belly! Remarkable movement, id'nit, squire? Lovely videos!

Mr. Praline: Look, I took the liberty of examining that movement when I got it home, and I discovered the only reason that it had been sitting on its pedestal in the first place was that it had been NAILED there, by errors.

(pause)

Owner: Well, o'course it was nailed there! The errors were there deliberately! If I hadn't nailed that movement down, it would have nuzzled up to those bars, cut through them with thermite , and VOOM! Feeweeweewee!

Mr. Praline: "VOOM"?!? Mate, this movement wouldn't "voom" if you put four million voters through it! It's bleedin' demised!

Owner: No no! It's pining!

Mr. Praline: It's not pinin'! It's passed on! This movement is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed it to the pedestal, it'd be pushing up the daisies! Its analytical processes are now 'istory! It's off the agenda! It's kicked the bucket, It's shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-MOVEMENT!!

As Mobyseven said, the truth movement essentially died the day LC:FC was released.

The good majority of them saw through the poor release response that they were done for.

It'll always be around, but it's as good as dead. A vegetable, if you will.

When 9-11 Blogger announces they are going to cover all sorts of conspiracy theory nonsense, not just 9-11 nuttiness:

Quote:
The mandate of the site will remain a focus on 9/11 information that is not covered by the corporate press. The tag line up top says, "Paying Attention to 9/11 Related Alternative News", however, 9/11 was not an isolated event. I intend to broaden the mandate of the site, and connect serious researchers into recent, and not-so-recent events that bear the hallmarks of "covert operations". This includes the Oklahoma City Bombing, the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing, the assassinations of JFK, RFK, MLK, and other incidents rife with patsies, and obscured with disinformation.

He's not signing off, though - he seems quite emphatic it's all still growing.

That may well turn out to be prophetic.

The Truth Movement is like a disease that can be controlled but never really cured.

We (the public in general) were infected and there was some angst until treatment was applied. It's largely under control with only very minor residual symptoms. However you never really get rid the infection and occasional relapses will occur but they will get less and less severe over time. As long as those relapses are treated promptly they will only be minor inconveniences. Its only if we ignore the relapses that we are in any danger of it getting out of control in the future.

And treatment was not done by chemtrail.

Well, when we round them up and send them to the "re-education camps" we have established in thinly-disguised railroad car repair facilities that would qualify I think...
