This quote caught my eye: "Government lawyers told federal judges that the president can send the military into any U.S. neighborhood, capture a citizen and hold him in prison without charge, indefinitely."

The Bush administration doesn't believe that the laws of this country, or any other, apply to them in any meaningful way whatsoever. This is just another example of that very obvious fact.

I can't wait until President Obama exercises that power on George W. Bush. I wonder how he'll feel about it, then?
