Looks like a Nintendo 8 bit system like they sell to hotels and airlines, packaged to look like an N64 (catridges) or PSX (circular top) to confuse grandparents.

BFD.

You can download the emulator & ROMs if you feel nostalgic.

But...joking aside..

It would make a good gift for a 5yr old who suffers from ADH, livin' in a Trailer Park, who's "single" parent lives on welfare...

Joking aside, there are still people making bootleg versions of old game systems with bootleg ROMs for sale in third world countries, and there are still @$$holes who'll buy up a container load to sell to people to who don't know the difference at full NEW console prices.

Lots of people collect consoles and arcade machines etc. Some of the early rare stuff can fetch quite a tidy sum.

People collect anything and everything, I would assume stuff like this would be bought by these people.

Possibly, but that's not "early". It's a mock-up.

Besides, reproductions of early things made to look like more modern things do not sell. At least not to people who collect such "antiques".

Well, whatever it is, I find it funny as hell. Thanks for the pix and the hilarious commentary. The cast of the Matrix in Super Smash Brothers kills me
