Charlie Brooker on conspiracy theories

I don't usually venture into this section (and not sure whether this should go here or in the 9/11 section), but I am a big fan of Charlie Brooker and thought some people here might enjoy this:

Charlie is fun as usual, but the comments as always ARRRGH! Grauniad troothers! not that I should expect anyhting less, out of the 3 troothers I know well, 2 buy the paper the other refuses all mainstream media (he doesn't wear a tinfoil hat, but he might have lined his loft).

Charlie Brooker is freaking hillarious. He reminds me of my best friend, except that he (Brooker) uses fewer curse words.

Superb article, thoroughly depressing comments. That prove precisely his point.

It's a belief system, a faith. But then, we knew that.

The response was much more significant...

His theme was conspiracy theory in general and the 9/11 conspiracy theories in particular – and it collected more than 1,700 comments.
And it always will be. I guess that’s why there aren’t anymore polls on it from the MSM. They keep increasingly leaning the wrong way for some people.

And I love how they quote J. Edgar Hoover to try and make themselves sound legit. One of the great paranoiacs of the era, becoming the poster boy for a movement he'd have crushed years ago--the old queen's probably rolling in his grave.

I read the same article when it first came out, Brooker is one of the few people in the media who talk any sense. His TV show Screenwipe is one of the few programs I actually watch these days, hope a new series starts soon.
