Maybe this is old news but I just came across it on HotAIR. Uri Geller applied for a patent on a game show idea.

To be fair, sort of, to Geller, he does claim he did it because he wrote a fictional book based around the idea, then decided to patent it to stop anyone else from actually doing it.
