Since the convention is a not-for-profit gathering there is very little the Wilson sisters can do about it as long as the convention organizers have paid the ASCAP fee.

How did you get that out of what you quoted?

Got that from the radio piece that prompted me to seek out the quote.

I'll see if I can find that in print somewhere.

I'm going to go way out on a limb and guess Chrissie Hynde is none too thrilled with a Pretenders song being Rush Limbaugh's theme music, and yet it has been for many, many years now.

I'm sure that the Wilson sisters won't complain too much when they suddenly receive a huge influx of license fees for the song due to the massive increase in iTunes downloads because of this nomination.

As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a Palin supporter. As long as I don't use it for profit, I can buy the song from iTunes and do whatever I want with it and the Wilsons can't stop me.

Of course, nothing would be in the way of the Wilson sister's releasing a music video of the song using public domain photos of Palin doing ghastly things to cute wild animals and comparing her to a ravening wild animal, either.

How do you think Ted Nugent would feel if the Democrats started using one of his good songs as theme music? If he had any good songs.

He'd be so upset he'd probably hurt himself with his chainsaw again.

I've got some much better theme songs for McCain. How about...

1. Fool On The Hill
2. Pressed Rat and Warthog

for starters

King of Fools by EDGUY would be appropriate for both imo.

We don't wanna be like you,
Don't you get that King Of Fools?
We don't mind your life is trite,
You are the King Of Fools.

We are never gonna be like you,
We don't follow - King of Fools,
You're the blind who lead the blind.

And I walk the wicked way!

You feel at ease as you flock with the masses,
What do you see with your heads in their asses?
Keep on railing at what I believe , (I believe)
Call me insane and I am proud to be.

I went to a Heart concert last night. Nancy had something on the back of her guitar that she flashed during Barracuda. However, I couldn't see it, and the guy next to me with the field glasses wasn't looking at it. When I grabbed the glasses and looked, I think it said something about McCain, but I haven't found anything about it on their website.

BTW, Heart ROCKS! They were awesome. Journey was headlining, but Heart blew them away.

Difference is I don't see Heart barrelling their way into the RNC headquarters with a crossbow DARING McCain to use it again.
