Dell Offers PC With Pre-Loaded Movie

Dell Offers PC With Pre-Loaded Copy of "Iron Man"

Why, Dell, why on Earth?

How about putting something on there that's, I don't know, useful? Something, like, no bloat or trial crap? Or, gasp, Linux?

You really think that people decide a $650 investment (the cheapest computer you can get with the offer) by a frickin' movie?

Listen, Dell, a lot of people are smarter than that. You're in trouble because people do not want your products, not matter how much bling you package with it. Make good, lean, mean, useful machines, and people will buy them. There's a company in Cupertino that shows you how it's done.

Yes.
People make much larger investments for much sillier reasons. As it's cross promotional, the movie probably costs Dell nothing, so even a small amount of sales would be all gravy.
