"Brain Training"?
There have been a lot of videogames being made, the first one I know of being 'Brain Age', that provide a bunch of simple puzzle games like matching, quick math, and reading out loud. The games claim if you play these every day they're supposed to make you smarter. It seems reasonable enough, but is there any truth behind this or is it just jive?

As far as I'm aware, only the dual-task n-back memory task has any serious studies backing such a conclusion.
