Best way to remove sticky substance from Bike Cards?
So after unwrapping the box from the plastic wrap, you have to remove the sticker with an image of a spade on it. What's the best way to get rid of the sticky substance that's left behind after you remove the sticker?

When I open them, I've never come across this problem.
I've read somewhere, that simply erasing it off is a good method that works. I'm sure Google could yield some decent results. Alex. |

I was about to come onto this thread with tasteless jokes about getting sticky substances over cards, but I caught myself in time. Anyway, I cut through the seal with my fingernail or something sharp. A bit messy, but less sticky.

There's several solutions. One is to cut away the part of the sticker that is not actually stuck the to box when it's opened and leave the rest there.
Another is to use a couple drops of Goo-Gone to clean it off. If you're not careful (especially if you use too much) this can also take off some of the box. You can also use a piece of masking tape. Press the tape over the sticky stuff and then peel it off- it will bring some of the sticky stuff with it. You'll probably have to do this several times to remove all the sticky stuff. You also need to pull the masking tape off from the side near the center of the box pulling toward the edge- otherwise the tape will tend to pull away the top layer of the box along with the sticky stuff. |

It's funny, I've never come across this problem. It'd have to be the way you remove the sticker. I've just bought two new packets, but won't be opening them for a while, as I'm still using one and I've got a practically brand new deck still waiting.
