Report on Detainee Abuse Blames Top Bush Officials
Report on Detainee Abuse Blames Top Bush Officials:
The abuse of detainees in U.S. custody cannot simply be attributed to the actions of 'a few bad apples' acting on their own," the report states. "The fact is that senior officials in the United States government solicited information on how to use aggressive techniques, redefined the law to create the appearance of their legality, and authorized their use against detainees."and Rumsfeld, who served as defense secretary from 2001 to 2006, rejected the report's conclusions and said it was the committee, particularly Levin, that had sullied the nation's image.I am disgusted with Rumsfeld, and the Bush administration, beyond my ability to put it into words. The way they spit on American principles is appalling. Here is an interrogator's perspective on what has been going on. |

Yes, when all is said and done, the Bush Administration has not been a good one.
