A letter of thanks to Richard Gage

I had wanted to post this to the existing thread, but it was closed due to off-topic posts.

from: Mark Roberts
to: Richard Gage
date: Mon, Feb 16, 2009
subject: Thanks!

Dear Richard,

I note with interest your promotion of Anders Bjorkman as Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth's "Petitioner of the Month" for February. I wholeheartedly agree that he's a fitting addition to your pantheon of "professional" petitioners. Take care that he doesn't steal your limelight though: his "3.5 m tower (95 boxes) with an 0.5 m pizza impactor" has had an ecstatic reception from bedazzled four-year-olds at ChuckE.Cheese's restaurants nationwide.

From my website:

We've seen the staggeringly ignorant and outright bizarre nonsense spewed by Gage and the "experts" whose opinions he promotes. Is Björkman's promotion by AE911Truth another fallacious appeal to authority, or has he done some sensible analysis of the events of 9/11? Bjorkman posts as "Heiwa" on the JREF forum:
I note also that in addition to still not correcting your online slide presentation's avalanche of major errors about the events of 9/11, you continue to claim that your organization has a full-time staff of a dozen people. You'll recall that this was the first thing I corrected you about during our Hardfire shows. I'm very curious to know how you justify to yourself this blatant lie when appealing for money.

Sincerely,
Mark Roberts

I didn't know how much I had missed for almost completely ignoring all Heiwa posts. I almost dropped out of my chair reading those.

Nice letter, Gravy, I'll bookmark this!
What is scaring is that French twoofers begin to rely on Heiwa.

From another part, although Tweeter is right concerning Gage's reaction when reading the letter, he'll exist only as ignored messages. Grow up, kid.

Anyone with half a brain knows it's impossible to shred paper. That's why it's necessary to set buildings on fire for seven hours and then blow them up.

Ditto here. I began to read one or two of his posts in the beginning but decided quickly to give it up. I could only read a few of Gravy's links in the OP before I got dizzy. And I never knew who Heiwa was until today.

That's to be expected. The truthers wouldn't be promoting Heiwa's lunacy if they had someone better. And as wrongheaded as he is, he's at least put what remains of his reputation on the line by posting his calculations, which is more than we can say for Gage or almost every other truther.

You missed his claim that if the top portion of the WTC was dropped on the bottom portion from a height of 2 miles it would just bounce off.

This is a man who feels dropping an egg on an egg will NOT result in either being destroyed.

I guess if your only definition of "destroyed" is total molecular breakdown, then ya he has a point. Otherwise...oh my.

Sorry, Mark, but I have to disagree. The man is an incompetent idiot who's grasp (or lack thereof) of structural or fire engineering issues has made him a laughing stock. It reflects badly on the professional as a hole, and his continuing attempts to press home is professional status just compounds the issue.

Of course if he feels aggrieved at my views, he's free to make a complaint to the RIBA and we'll deal with it as part of the official disciplinary channels. I'll not hold my breath, however, as any of the professional bodies in the UK would rip him to shreds. Honestly, I'm surprised no-ones made a complaint to the AIA.

Maybe I've been out of the game too long, but I honestly can't tell if this post is a joke, if you may have been quaffing some Islay ("professional as a hole"?), or if you somehow think I wasn't being sarcastic with Gage.

One rather bizarre exchange resulted in him being asked why would people choose to jump, rather than face the inferno that was inside WTC 1. He claimed the fires were not intense, just hot enough "to barbeque a chicken", I believe his words were.

The answer.

Right through from no planes at the WTCs, no plane at the Pentagon, CDs, fake evidence ,you name it, every single one.

Completely discounting the people who jumped before any collapse at all of course. Sick.

exactly. The searing heat, and intolerable smoke had nothing to do with it. It was purely to avoid dying in a possible collapse.

What a ****ing idiotic statement.
