Need a top hat

I need a top hat for a trick.

any suggestions?

Try a shop that sells party favours and such stuff. I got one at a New Years' party once. I would guess it was worth about 50c but it looked quite realistic

thanks, now I need rabbits....lots of rabbits.

stuffed, because if I needed lots of real rabbits, I'd only need 2

I've actually seen a magic act that used a hat and a buncho rabbits. I'll use a spoiler just in case no one has seen it!

The magician chased the rabbits around with the hat and every time he put the hat over a rabbit, it DISAPPEARED!!!

oh my trick is better than that. Really.

I made it up myself and when I emailed the idea to Randi, he was simply ....

well let's just say I had the wrong idea about how the rabbit gets in the hat.

For cheap stuffed rabbits of varying sizes, I suggest dogpiling/googling Oriental Trading Company - Oh, they will likely have alternative top hats too!!

I've made these oversized tophats (see my avatar) a couple of times. It's just sheet foam rubber (from the fabric store) with cloth glued onto the pieces, then the pieces glued together. I like them because they're big and showy but no heavier than a normal hat.
