UFO Sighting in Southwestern Ontario?
A friend of mine was riding on a bus a couple weeks ago through Southwest Ontario and saw something weird in the sky. He was with his friend and his friend's young child, and he was able to capture some of it on video.
What did he see? You be the judge. Note: you need sound up for full effect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH-UNJYPogw |

If you listen to the sound on the video, it's pretty clear nobody really thinks it's a "UFO" including the really young child looking at it.

Looks like a thingy stuck on the outside of the window.

Patricio's right. At 0:43 you can see it pass between the trees on the side of the road and the car. Looks like a turdus migratorus* to me.

Yes, definitely something on the window. The kid touched it with his finger. If he was pointing to something far away, it would not be exactly on the spot, because his pov was different from the one holding the camera.

I see these all over near Detroit, and SW Ontario isn't that far away.

I think it's obvious. Young Ted hates freedom.

UFO or no UFO, someday this transplanted Albertan wants a clear explanation of why Ontarians call the southeastern portion of their province "Southwestern Ontario".
(I have a few working theories, but I'm getting into thread derail territory here. The first theory is my "Tronna-centric" theory - i.e., if it's to the south and to the west of Tronna, it's southwest, period, no matter what the actual geography of the province is. The second theory is my "Upper Canada theory" - i.e., SWO is actually Southwestern Upper Canada, and that orientation just stuck in the Zeitgeist after confederation and expansion.) |

I would hazard a guess that the big hunk west of Sudbury just doesn't count.

West-Southern Ontario really isn't it.
Basically, anything north of North Bay is "Northern" Ontario. Just because, okay? |
