Orly Taitz gets her own blog
Orly's blog is loon-central for Obama conspiracy stuff. Now you don't have to watch WorldNetDaily to see what she is up to.

That freakshow makes Judy Wood look almost sane.
She thinks Osama bin Laden is going to show up in the U.S. with a fake Hawaii birth certificate and buy the next Presidential election. |

Somewhere in Texas, there is a guy who can't believe that he let that loon actually work on his teeth.

Orly Taitz? Surely that has to be a made-up name.
Reminds me of Kavos beach. |

A good blog which you might like is Yes To Democracy, which I sometimes post on. I remember my only first hand encounter with one of the birthers was at a town hall type meeting with Sen. McCaskill of MO. There was one dude, ironically the first question, who brought up the no birth certificate nonsense. It was the only time in my life that I did the reverse face palm. I was taping it for my college TV station and turned around towards the wall and actually face palmed when he asked his question. It started out bad "I work at a liscense office and the people wanting a license need to show a birth certificate ( at the point I saw it comming {a MDC award? nah!}) and I want to know why the President of the United States doesn't have to show his!" at which point the white trash of the crowd cheered. I was mortified because I was upset that the Joplin, MO crowd was so stupid.
Nevertheless, the type of CT nonsense will be forgetton for the most part, and it already is falling apart. Given that her original webmaster has turned against her. Still it is bothersome to me to hear someone on the bus who believes that crap ask "why won't someone just kill him already" in reference to the President. I am tired of her crap, and amusing though it may be it runs the risk of crazies taking this crap seriously. |

What's the difference between Orly Taitz and Andrew Sullivan, the ringleader of the "Trig Truther" wing of the Birthers?
Andrew Sullivan gets published in the most prestigious newspapers and magazines in the world, and his blog is read by President Obama himself. In fact, Obama just recently repeated a stupid mistake that Sullivan made:

umm.. Sullivan is in another universe from Orly Taitz.
I've never seen him push a CT for one. He also has more than 9 functioning brain cells and can self-correct. Your political prejudices notwithstanding - they are entirely different creatures. The fact Sullivan made a historical error is insufficient evidence to support your claim that they are similar. |

No - I read the whole saga.
He's even offered up the fact he could be wrong about it. Which is not something you hear from your average CT die hards. And I'm not sure that it's on the same level as a Birther, or a 9/11 truther. In the early days with the evidence he was working with it was a possible explanation - he has since refined his approach and admitted the possibility of error as time went on. |

Andrew fell back on the "I'm just asking questions," routine familiar to us from so many conspiracy theorists when he started getting pushback on his nutty theories.

Still, I dont see an equivalency. You're using this one issue to paint Andrew with the "flake" brush, meanwhile his writing is much more cogent, thoughtful and engaging than anything this Taitz woman could produce.
Whether its his reverence for Oakeshotte, his interesting debates with Sam Harris on faith versus atheism, his impasssioned pleas for compassionate drug policy - Taitz couldn't hold a candle to the calibre of thought Sullivan produces. But go ahead - I understand his positions on the Iraq war and torture are likely opposed to yours so if it makes it easier to dismiss him and anything produced by him you're free to put your fingers in your ears and yell NA NA NA anytime someone posts a view from Sullivan. |

Orly is only known for kooky thoughts. Andrew Sullivan is known for being a neo-Goldwater conservative that the lefties like to flaunt whenever he criticizes the neo-Puritans. He gets 5 minutes of fame whenever he says anything negative about the GOP basically.
The two couldn't be more different. He indulged a kooky line of thought probably because he so vehemently hates the neo-Puritan wing of the GOP and probably saw Palin as its vapid and non-intellectual embodiment. I'll give him a pass. |
