Does anyone know whether these people are serious? It's so over the top that I can't help but wonder whether this is a spoof.

I briefly browsed the site. Read down in the FAQ and they claim Idaho and North Dakota do not exist. Lack of spelling and grammatical errors also indicate that it's a spoof.

However, a flat earth society (based in Lancaster, CA) is very, very real.
