Fraunhofer Codec

The sound does not work for my Freelancer game. I've managed to figure out the problem: I'm missing the Fraunhofer IIS Codec.

I run windows 98.

At first, I thought it would be easy to solve. I was just going to send it from a friend's computer (Which also runs 98) to mine. But, this does not work, as I can only find the Fraunhofer codec in the Multimedia window (Found in Control Panel).

Anyone know how I can get it?

I don't want to set your expectations too much - let's just say I found Freelancer disappointing. YOu may be excited to try X2: The Threat and Universal Combat if this kind of game is your style, they have a lot of promise.

Thanks Rockoon, but WHERE do I install the Fraunhofer Codec? The instructions on the MS site didn't work.
