UFO over Arizona

Only it wasn't a UFO. NASA came forward immediately and declared that the giant silvery disc-shaped object was a research balloon they launched to measure gamma radiation in the upper atmosphere.

The balloon was launched in Fort Sumter, NM, and sailed over New Mexico and Arizona. Unfortunately, it sailed over Sedona, Arizona, where the woo is thick enough to wade through. As quoted by a woman who runs a "UFO Store" in Sedona:
Quote:
Jennifer McCoy, who runs the UFO Store in Sedona with her husband, said a local resident told her about the object around 2 p.m.
She said she went into the parking lot and saw the object in the cloud line.
It “looked like the gigantic bubble from the Wizard of Oz,” she said.
The story doesn't state whether or not she believes the explanation given by NASA. To me, the description of a large silver object drifting through the clouds sounds more like a balloon anyways.

The full story for interested individuals: UFO over Arizona

Yay for science!!

Good thing it did not land on some ranch out in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise, in fifty years we would be hearing about the great UFO crash in Arizona!

Was Sedona the place where there was that mass UFO sighting a year or two ago?

HAHA!

It did land in the Kingman, Arizona area, which is the western part of the state and there are quite a few ranches out that way. I didn't hear of any stories of mysterious craft crashing and bodies being taken by the military at night to secret bunkers though!

Possibly. Sedonans are replete with stories of UFOs and ghost spirits and energy vortices and such, so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Nope, Phoenix. Google "Phoenix Lights".

Wasn't that in 1996 though? I thought he was talking about a much more recent event.

Wow, has it been that long? If there was another I missed it.

Obviously, a cover-up by the military was involved. Its level of success is sufficient proof of complicity at the highest levels. The media must be in on it, too. And those ranchers? Shills, every one of them! I'll bet they're all retired military, too!

OK, so even here, where there are scores of people who see the UFO and believe in it, nobody gets a good picture??? Come on guys, surely ONE of you has a camera with a telephoto lens. This is just pathetic.

I saw an obvious research balloon on the electric tv box yesterday afternoon floating over somewhere.
Very clear image.
