Like Palin, Washington, too, was apparently a quiter...

Or so this columnist would have you take-away

http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArti...31943545489207

However, the point, it seems to me, would have more resonence if he were showing Washington quiting, say, right before the battle of Brookland Hights or maybe Yorktown.

I always thought that Palin was the George Washington of our time.

Perhaps we should give her the nickname "Georgette Washington"??

And Washington, much against his own personal wishes, did come out of retirement to serve as President, and served out his term despite the fact it ruined his held and probably killed him.
And I don't want to get into comparing Washington's farewell to his troops with Palin's speech.......

I sort of think sticking through at Valley Forge covers him for any effort to leave the Royal Militia early....

Chreerist on a crutch, instead of trying to execute these long reaches to try to justify a poorly chosen losing candidate, why don't they spend the energy trying to find a better one for next try?

That is what amazes me. Why are they supporting a loser like Palin, instead of finding a intelligent spokesman for the Conservative viewpoint?
(and yes, there are several out there).

Well played.

As to Palin

What the heck is a quiter?

Is that anything like a moaner, or a screamer, but more on the annoyingly British theme?

"Oh, quite" as the canned response to pretty much anything, to include those moments when moaning or screaming is the more usual response.
