Latin? Or gibberspeak?

I'm in a class learning Expressions Web 2, and we did templates - when you open one, the main body has all this written within it:

Quote:
Fusce consequat.
It looks like latin to me, but I'm definitely no linguist. So does this little blurb actually mean anything, or is it just gibberspeak?

Thanks!

Trailing Mojo here, although it appears to be both "Lorem ipsum" and standard Latin.

Thus, the first line (i.e., "Fusce consequat. Vestibulum ante ipsum primis in faucibus orci luctus et ultrices posuere cubilia Curae; Accumsan lacinia." seems to be "gibberspeak", i.e. standard dummy text.). It can be found here. The rest is legit Cicero (see [section 32]).

I only really looked at the first line...

Thank you - I tried several ways to look for it, but kept finding unfinished web pages and web templates.

I think I'll include "Fusce consequat. Vestibulum ante ipsum primis in faucibus orci luctus et ultrices posuere cubilia Curae" in my next presentation.

The "Lorem ipsum" is used a lot to design templates for Websites or printed products to fill the pages using an example text. That's exactly what the purpose of Lorem ipsum is, a meaning-less but serious looking text to fill layouts.

I worked at a place where they did business in Japan, so their business cards had some Kanji text included. The first draft had nonsense characters just to test the printer's ability to produce the symbols. Unfortunately, the final cards had the same nonsense text instead of the actual information.

Fortunately, someone recognized the gaffe before they offended their Japanese business prospects. You can imagine that would not have gone over well.

Now that you mention that story, aggle, I ran into a website not long ago when I was looking for knives. After checking out a few nice creations, I ran into a page that apparently was left over from an old template. Everything was Lorem Ipsum, and the knife pics were clip art.

But apparently the knife shown was $27.
