Dr. Hulda Clark Died of Spinal Cord Injuries

I'm finding this on blogs, but no regular media:

Bolen says she died of spinal cord injuries. He also says she was a scientist. *gag*

I'm guessing we'll never know what she died of. I think it was cancer.

Here is what we should remember most about that fiend as the alties proclaim how wonderful that person was.

I think that this a cover up for the fact that she really died from worms. Huge monster worms as documented in Dune.

Oh, a scientologist (David Amrein) is taking over the selling of the zappers. Some alties are really whining about how her crap stuff is being "hijacked" by a "cult".

My irony meter is esploding again.

Complications of a spinal cord injury that aparently been around for several years. Could be cancer but I would expect it to act faster than that.

Some cancers take a while to kill. So does HIV. No details on her "spinal cord injury". She could have died of complications for Diabetes 2 for all we know. All I know is that Bolen is hardly a reliable source for this kind of information, and I have an even harder time believing it was "complications due to spinal cord injury".

It's interesting that one of the OP sources links in turn to a site selling Clark's complete works for $120. Are they claiming the death as a means of increasing book sells?

Google news finds nothing about a death searching for hulda clark. Wiki links to the same "in memorandum" web page that links to the book sales.

Quick question: Were the spinal cord injuries possibly caused by toxins?

This Woo suggests that the "Dr" died because she refused to follow the Woo's advice and would not stop drinking orange juice.

Humans are like corn to sandworms. They pass through undigested.

My mother once sent me a book by this woman and wanted to know if any of the material inside was true. Of course, I debunked it all for her, then took the book to my lab where we work on cancer, just for the laughs.

Should we expect at least one mainstream news source to carry this story?

ETA: Who here has a LexisNexis account?

I searched for any news report on Google and found only the blog entries and the site with the formal announcement which linked to book sales.

I would love a LexisNexis account but I hear they are very pricey.

For all the crap on the web this woman has generated, still not a single news report, just the blog comments and personal anecdotes.

I still have Lexis-Nexis (academic) access.

The most recent news source I have is a letter to the editor (of an alternative health mag) about a woman curing her Breast Cancer with Clark's stuff.

That's it. I checked major world publications as well since she was operating out of Mexico but nothing.

I did note in this that she thinks we're infected by a rare Asian liver fluke that causes cancer and AIDS and MS though.

Thank you for checking.

Would this normally be news, at least locally? Or do we really concern ourselves with a world that passes almost unnoticed by the bulk of the population?

It's all a question of dosage. The giant worms aren't poisoned by tiny (human-sized) amounts of water. I believe that they drowned the smaller worms even, rather than simply poisoning them with water.

In any case, I'm rarely happy to see people die; this was an exception.

Wow. She'd still be alive and probably in reasonable health if it weren't for her quackery. It seems unusual for these quacks to suffer the direct consequences of their own actions. This is so...apt.

The Fremen trained to hold their breath for long enough could survive the journey through the intestinal tract entirely unharmed.
That's another thing about Dune - if Fremen still-suits were so efficient at recycling water evaporated from the body why didn't they all die of heat stroke?

Oh, and re Ms Clarke - I usually try to give quacks the benefit of the doubt and assume that they believe they are acting in their patients' best interests but this woman was clearly delibarately ignoring the evidence, prefering to feed her ego instead, regardless of how many she killed in the process. The world is better off without her, but I'm sure there will be many more who will take her place.

Really, she must have been mentally ill to believe all that stuff - couldn't she have been put in an institution or something when it was apparent she was damaging people. I know she was banned from the USA at one point, was she ever locked up?

King: Bloody peasant!
Peasant: Ooh, what a giveaway, did you hear that... that’s what I’m on about, d’you see him repressing me? You saw it didn’t you...

It's just sad that Mexico caters to these quacks, making their lunacy legal.

My mother died of multiple myeloma. It is a slow, painful death, I assure you. Not that this person deserved anything less.
