Message boards like that get hacked all the time, usually because the administrators of the board don't know what they're doing and/or neglect to keep their software updated.

I have no doubt that Bobby and friends will spin this any way they can to try to make it sound like they were deliberately targeted because of who they are and what they represent, however if that were the case, a DDOS attack is what I would have expected.

IIRC there was an incident some time ago in which the BABB forum got hacked via an unpatched vulnerability in the phpBB code they were using. Can't remember if it was before or after the merger with the UT forum. AFAIK there wasn't any motive other than the simple joy of trashing someone else's stuff.

Oh please, it could have been simply that another account on their SHARED server was hacked, and they infiltrated all accounts on that server.

that's what happened to my account. I was running a forum and was "hacked"; come to find out it was another account on the server that was hacked and the hacker just initiated his own script that targeted any file that had a .php extension and rewrote them.

Just an exploit. The dangers of having a shared server.

Wonder if he's going to make a video about the hacking incident? I'm going to guess Bobbie will make one, release it on youtube and then wonder why no one is paying him money to buy it. Then he will ask for "contributions" to his pay pal account.
