“No business wants to invest in a place where the government skims 20% off the top.”

That's what Comrade Obama said in a speech in Ghana.

Of course, he was addressing Africans and Africa's economies.

Here in the U.S., government consumes twice that, and if Comrade Obama gets his way, this will drastically increase.

Taxes = graft now?

Also, how is calling Obama "comrade" even a political argument?

Hey, Bob. Quick question.

What does "off the top" mean and how is it completely different from how the US handles corporate taxes?

Just read the link. A cherry picked quote, a false premise, an unsupported claim, and a scare-mongering ad hom.

Well done, Bob. This OP is almost 100% FAIL. What do you do for an encore?

Once again: if you think the current top income tax rate of 35% is pushing the US towards being a Communist dictatorship, you must be hopping mad at Reagan and Eisenhower, under whom the average top rate of income tax was 48% and 91% respectively.

That was the top rate in theory. In practice nobody paid that rate.

no, you don't get to bend reality to your own imagining.

Obama was speaking of the graft that goes to corrupt officials which gets nothing done. He was not talking about the utility bills that you have to pay to do business in the USA. Now pay your utility bills and stop whining. I can't afford to subsidize you whiners.
