It is believing there is such an entity as an anti-christ that is insane, not believing that a particular person is the incarnation of that entity.
Obama is as good a candidate as any.

"Do you think that George W. Bush had advance knowledge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks?"

That's such a dubious question. I'd probably answer yes to that.

Advance knowledge? I'm not sure he even knew about them afterward!

I'm sure he did know about them after, and probably agonized about them greatly.. as well as what to do about them.

But it's more fun to just imply he's an ignorant ass clown, I know.

There's been a lot of non-sense going around about Obama, but this one is actually true.

At least in New Jersey.

Well not specificly obviously, but there were warnings. I think it might be better to ask whether they believe Bush purposefully ignored warnings.

Rachel Maddow covered this topic. There's another thread about it already.

Define 'advance knowledge'. Advance warnings, very likely. Humans are experts at 'won't happen to us' thinking, whether it comes to fire, landslides, robbery, or acts of war during peacetime. Pretty unlikely they didn't even have the slightest shred of hints.

In order to believe the latter you must accept the former, so believing the latter is at least just as insane.

Nothing specific enough to qualify as "advance knowledge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks."

Whatever. Why agree with the truthers just because a question whose common-sense meaning is clear enough isn't worded in the way you would have worded it?

He IS the anti-christ.

Christ was concerned with saving souls; Obama is concerned with saving the people in the world right now.

Thus, he is B.

No. Believing a particular person is the anti-christ is less insane than the belief that such an entity can exist. (But still insane)

Get it right. I thought everyone knew that Obama was the latest incarnation of Gozer the Destructor, Volguus Zildrohar, Lord of the Sebouillia.

Here's the relevant prophecy:

Gozer the Traveler! He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the Rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveler came as a large and moving Torb! Then, during the Third Reconciliation of the Last of the Meketrex Supplicants, they chose a new form for him, that of a giant Sloar! Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of a Sloar that day, I can tell you!

Well it depends on how you define it doesn't it. I just think there's a number of people who'd answer yes and not suspect Bush of any ill intent.

This OP has links to a Pharyngula blog entry and Rachel Maddow interviewing Frank Schaeffer on this thread's subject.

Public Policy Polling did a nationwide poll this time:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/p...al_9231210.pdf

43% of Republicans don't believe Obama was born in the U.S., 27% aren't sure and 30% believe he was.

27% of Democrats believe Bush intentionally allowed the 9/11 attacks to take place because he wanted the United States to go to war, 11% aren't sure, and 62% believe he didn't.

19% of Republicans believe Obama is the Anti-Christ, 13% aren't sure and 68% believe he's not.

11% of Democrats believe Bush is the Anti-Christ, 16% aren't sure and 73% believe he's not.
