I understand that great many people in the Navy SEAL/UDT community consider Ventura to be a big time embarassment.

Also somebody on O&A's board pointed out to me that the SEAL site I listed is not an official website endorsed by the Navy so I retract my statement about the organization endorsing his claims.

DC

I've not had the pleasure of hearing any of Opie and Anthony. I do not have satellite radio, and never tried to get hold of the show in any other manner.

I do however love Jim Norton. He's a semi-regular on the Fox show Red-Eye, and I think he's just hilarious. He's my favorite guest most of the time. I always perk up when he's on.

I hope people don't get distracted into ripping on Fox News from what I've said. Red-Eye strikes me as a show that I still can't believe is even on Fox news. It's raunchy and crosses a number of lines. I find it enjoyable and quite fun most of the time. Especially when Jim Norton is on. Andy Levy is pretty funny too. I even find Bill Schultz, the shows token liberal, to be funny and enjoyable... for a pansexual dilettante. I feel these guys are somewhat my own contemporaries. About my age, and share my style of humor. They use lots of self-deprecation and drug/sexual related humor. Also many great guests.

Yes actually I remember a few had quite specific opinions about "The Mind" (oh I am gonna puke now) but damnit, I googled it yesterday but can't find it now.

He's also the only thing on Leno's new show that doesn't suck.

I've never seen it, but I can imagine. I'm not sure why I find him so funny. I think what I enjoy most about him is he's able to laugh at himself, and much of his humor is at his own expense. This makes him seem personable to me. He just seems like the kind of guy that's easy to like.

One of my favorite lines he had on Red Eye was when Greg introduced him and commented on liking his black jacket, and Jim said "Thanks Greg, I think it makes me look dark and edgy" in a very sarcastic manner that was quite funny. And another time where, while being introduced, he had this hilariously vacant, mouth breathing face going on, and kept it locked in for so long that Greg couldn't even finish his traditional introduction. They all started to laugh uncontrollably.

They've also had one of either Opie or Anthony on a few times, I admit I forgot which one he is. But I have to say I found him funny as well. I will have to consider listening to their radio show.

Anthony is the one who's appeared on Red Eye. According to him most of his comments are about the third funniest he came up with, but the first two didn't make it past the lawyers.

Several of Norton's Leno spots (as well as some of the Red Eyes) are on Hulu.

The presumption is that the HAARP can cause earthquakes and thus tsunamis. In fact I think they remark in the show about aurora being seen over Indonesia just before the 2004 tsunami. Of course if it was HAARP the aurora would have been over HAARP as the radio signal is reflected from the ionosphere over the transmission site. Even if one were to purport that the reflection area was not above HAARP it would still be between HAARP and the earthquake epicenter off the west coast of Northern Sumatra and still far from Indonesia.

I just saw the episode about H.A.A.R.P. and it was rather boring except the "pyzo electric transducer device". Does anyone know more about that device and how it works?

The basic principle in Piezoelectric devices is that an applied stress to some materials can result in a voltage. Similarly a applied voltage can result in a stress (or mechanical shifting) in some materials. Thus piezoelectric devices can both change mechanical force into a voltage and a voltage into a mechanical force.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezoelectric

The actual principle involved for hearing the sound from the transducers is bone conduction of the induced audio vibrations.

If you really want to test your cognitive skills, flip back and forth between Jesse's show and "Steven Seagal: Lawman" on A&E and try to figure out which one is being a bigger horse's ass.

The 9/11 show was exactly what you would expect; Just a recycling of the same old crap we have been dealing with for eight years.
And it was made worse by Ventura's ham acting and cheap melodramatics. Embarassing.
That kind of threatrics can be amusing in a Pro Wrestling show, but just makes Jesse look like an idiot here. I suspect a lot of voters in Minnesota will watch this and think "What the Hell Was I Thinking When I Voted For This Clown Back in 1998"?

Thank you, guys. After reading your explanations and the Wiki article, the device surely doesn't sound spectacular anymore.

Yeah. Hold a Wii remote up to your ear.

You'll blast piezoelectric vibration energy right into your brain, man.

I particularly like the parts where Segal delivered toys to kids in the bone marrow transplant ward. Then he goes and trains a bunch of overweight over age deputies. Sheesh

As I wrote before; He was still the best choice in '98. Even knowing what I know now, I might hesitate a second longer to look at the Grassroots candidate, but I would still vote for him over the DFL and GOP candidates (Humphrey and Coleman). I wish Carlson had run again.

Ah yes, the Wii mind control device, I wondered how they get those people to play those games.

So now the ads for the show are only focusing on the appeal to authority that Ventura is presenting of himself being an insider. "I've been on the inside, and now I'm ready to talk". What, you weren't ready to talk at all the last however many years you've been spewing nonsense? What, you still maintain being the governor of a mid-western state made you privy to huge government conspiracies? I thought it was bad enough when they alluded to this in the first ads. But now it's the entire focus of the ads. How he's an insider with all this great knowledge to reveal. How incredibly dishonest.

The good news for me is that my cable company has canceled Trutv, although I'll miss the comedy of the repo show, and I actually like the forensic shows. What I won't miss is this stupid show and their stupid slogan: "Not Reality. Actuality."

Everyone has been looking at this show the wrong way. Just like much of prowrestling this show was comedy gold. After a while I cracked up every time I hear "The Governor" speak. I have this series set to record on my DVR and I am sure that I will laugh my way through the whole thing.

I'd like to be able to do that, but there are some areas where I get too uptight to be able to enjoy the unintentional comedy. And 9-11 is a subject where that is very strongly the case for me. It's so disrespectful of the people who died, and their families and loved ones, and the people who worked so hard to save lives on that day. It makes me sick the way they so cavalierly ignore reality to tell their sad little joke of a conspiracy.

Maybe I can tune in and enjoy the UFOs and Bigfoot stuff more, I'm sure he'll get there at some point.

Or ask some of the amateur radio operators who have participated in various HAARP experiments over the years. Or talk to a meteorologist. Or any one of hundreds of ionospheric physicists around the world. Or, or,or..... (Well they can't ALL be part of the NWO can they?)

Can't wait for these wacadoodles to investigate the Aericebo facility or the 2 megawatt former Navy facility in Cutler, Maine. (Hey, it was used by the NAVY. Maybe self-proclaimed Navy SEAL Jesse could infiltrate from the Atlantic Ocean side.)

What about that huge array that was in the former Soviet Union? The one that screwed up broadcasts and spewed interference from the Balkans to the Mediterranean?

Uhhh..."Woodpecker." NATO reporting name "Steel Yard."

He actually tried that once, unfortunately he got turned around and swam across the entire Atlantic ocean before he realized it.

Oh yes, the infamous "Russian Woodpecker". Used to cause havoc to those of us on 20 meters back in the 1980s. Thee was a US equivalent over the horizon radar in Maine but I don't believe that one caused any ham interference. Odd the CT crowd never seemed to raise "issues" about these systems. Hey, maybe something for Jesse to cover in a future show if he manages to run out of CT ideas.

The Global Warming "Scam" Tonight

Tonight on TruTv... check your local listings. Jesse is off to see the "wizard" to get the lowdown of Global Warming.

I have to wash my hair but others may want to watch.

Quote:
Jesse Ventura is following the money trail, out to expose the most frightening, inconvenient Conspiracy Theory yet: That Global Warming may be a scam.

The movement claims the planet is heading to disaster because factories and cars are heating up the atmosphere with carbon dioxide. The green industry feeds off our fears and urges us to spend billions on products that purport to be good for the environment.

This week, Jesse and his investigators are traveling around the world to expose the power-brokers who pull the strings and rake in fortunes. The Conspiracy Theory team aims to get to the bottom of claims that global warming is a powerful plot meant to extort, tax and control all of us.

From a remote wilderness location, where one critical scientist claims he is hiding from death threats, to Silicon Valley, where a company makes a bundle helping corporations avoid paying carbon tax, then all the way to China to learn more. Jesse also examines Al Gore's role in all this, but he pushes further as he uncovers evidence that leads him to the man known as The Wizard, who just might be behind the whole global warming conspiracy.

Global Warming is one of the conspiracies I truly want to believe in simply because I despise Al Gore and always have and always will.

But Jesse is so bad at this he's convinced me it's real. Thanks jerk.

You could use his arguments for almost any industry.

The need for electricity to power our televisions and computers is a scam! Look at all the people profiting from it.

When the big Illuminati Earthquake comes, I'm going to live in Otisburg.

Money quote from part 5 - "Alex Jones inhabits the conspiracy world as few others..." Really. He's "an expert of world renown," and yet Jesse meets him in what appears to be his garage. God, this show is stupid.

If you have iTunes, take a look at the comments for this show. It is a Stundie Gold Mine.

Except for mine.
