I'll resist doing the Billy Mays shtick and just ask the question.

Depends, is there a centerfold picture in the middle?

Please Don't Squeeze the Charmin!

Toilet paper would have to become mighty scarce before I'd pay money for a wipin' book. Then again with all the budget cuts libraries will need janitorial supplies.

I can see only one good thing coming out of this book.

The righties will waste money that could have gone to a worthwhile Republican candidate who had a chance at winning somewhere, in order to buy a few gross of the book to give as Christmas and Hannuka gifts to lefties who will just laugh and draw mustaches on all the pictures of the Arctic MILF.

Paris Hilton is looking more intelligent every day. Maybe she should sponsor Palin's book-signing tour.

Would make as much sense as Palin being selected for McCain's VP ...

I didn't. Apparently it's ok to marginalize and cheapen a woman, if she's a Republican. Don't dare ever do it to a Democrat however.

Isn't that what tolerance should really be about? Being tolerant, equally, to everyone? Especially women, who have fought so hard to make a go of things for themselves?

Not in the minds of some apparently.

I guess you've missed a few of my jests in re the First Carpet Muncher and Chief Ash Tray and Lamp thrower from a few years back. She failed to meet the MILF standard.

Not that she cares.

I am very curious about that world you live in where no one bashes on Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi.

If there were a Democrat trying to make it on her looks and who brought nothing else to the table, and who showed an utter lack of credibility or ethics, you better beleive I would slam her.

I wouldn't read the book, because I would never consider voting for her. I also don't care for the 'who did what' drama.

I didn't see an appropriate answer for me. I would not pay anything for it , I would not read it for free from the library but I would read it if "you" paid me enough.

Back in the day, Hillary was a MILF. Not so much anymore.

I still respect her 1000% more than Sarah Palin.

Since it was ghostwritten, the question is, will Sarah Palin read her own book?

Sarah Palin marginalizes and cheapens women. Palin and Women like her are an impediment to progress for Women.

How many people here are okay with the MILF label applied to Palin, or have referred to other political women in like jest?

Personally, I believe it's disrespectful. But if you don't keep a double standard, I won't lose sleep over it. The term is ingrained in our culture at this point.

No, in partisan politics tolerance is all about tolerating "me" and only people who agree with "me" because only "my" views are correct and nobody else needs apply.

The reason why I put the word me into quotes is because of this attitude being common in all political parties. That is not my personal philosophy.

It should be equal tolerance for many different philosophies, as long as that philosophy isn't about eating the entrails of children, then it really shouldn't matter.

And, it really frustrates me to no end when I see people who proclaim tolerance start demeaning other people. It's very dishonest.

I believe the situation is that it is disrespectful but it is not considered by those using it as negative*.

* Because it expresses a technically positive opinion (about it's target) of the person saying it but no negative point about the person it is thought/said about.

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh's show a little over a week ago and he said that during the campaign the press "literally crucified" Palin. Of course, who am I to judge? Sarah Palin's going to become what Limbaugh is: a best selling author. Better still, they're the type of writers who didn't have to even bother writing.

I describe Palin in the terms I do because it seems to be the only thing she has going for her.

As for comparing Palin to Quayle, Quayle seems today to be somewhat less a moron, but only because we have a new specimen against whom we can measure him.

If Palin crucified anybody she'd have to do it illiterately. Hopefully this Arctic Airhead completely follows Limbaugh's career path. I can't wait to read about Palin's 100 pill a day Oxycontin addiction.

Seriously, Palin wants everyone to back off her family now but she had no problem using them on the campaign trail to emphasize her misguided convictions. I'm sure Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton wanted the same anonymity but it didn't stop Saturday Night live from skewering both of them and their parents (or the Bush family for that matter). Public figures enjoy no protection from satire, parody or investigative reporting Sara Palin is a crybaby quitter who can't stand the heat so she got out of the kitchen.
