Providing the staff some critical thinking notions...

Well, I found myself at a position with some minions staff to command guide... Now, I think I just found a problem - they have poor critical thinking skills. This should not be the case, since they are supposed to have it from their technical formation and our job is basically to collect / evaluate data and build conclusions over it. But sadly, it is the case. It brings me a work overburden (lots of things to fix), not to mention some wear, since they can't see basic flaws in some of the work they make. Since quite often its their jobs to convince me they are right, the outcome of presentations and reports is usually unhappy faces from their part.

Early next year we'll have one of those corporate seminars. I decided instead the standard corporate motivational babble, I will use my share of talking time to enlighten them on critical thinking . If I manage to help them building more robust cases, I will consider this as a victory.

So, any ideas on where I should start researching material and examples?

Thanks in advance!

My school library teaches critical thinking by making his research class do a report on the Pacific Tree Octopus; he confronts them with woo-woo and sees who calls him on it first.
