Are the odd pauses in places part of the process that can't be controlled? Or can you do any tricks to make things sound and work in a certain manner? Like I remember waaaay back in the day, messing with some of the very first text to speech stuff (S.A.M on the Atari was the first I remember messing with) you could change spellings of words to change the way they were pronounced, as well as incorporating delays to pace the wording.
I just wondered because parts of these sound stilted or have odd pauses. Is this a glitch of the program involved? Or is there a learning curve to it and better things can be done in the long run? I'd like to mess around with this, maybe after I fix my comp. |

Yeah, you can mess with spellings to get them to pronounce words better; in one I used "pyro clastic" and "man hattan" to get the correct pronunciation, and long and short pauses can be used to help with clarity. Not much you can do about the synthetic speech though, it sounds robotic no matter what you do.

I'm loving these things. Great work guys.
Reminds me of the days when Mentos had videos you could put your own subtitles over. But there was just like a handful of them to choose from, and just a few lines of dialogue you could put in, in fixed places. These are really cool, if not slightly creepy. It's too bad that sometimes the dialogue has odd pauses or doesn't work perfectly. Yet at other times, it works so very well. I love the voice of the original conspiracy guy.. the African American looking one with the mustache. (or is he Hispanic? I mean no offense). I'm glad everyone always uses the same voice for him. It really cracks me up. There is something about the way he calmly delivers all these attacks and insults in an oddly civil tone. "I just want to know.. why you murdered 3000 people... on 9-11.." |

That tool works like a charm. Did you see my message to Chewy over in the other thread?

Seems the public humiliation of the truther mentioned in the OP has resulted in him not only taking his yt video down but also deleting his thread on LCF.

Here's my take on the "Insurance Scam" that Larry Silverstein was supposed to have:
