You know, it's been said before, but how do they know it's Jesus. Looks like a guy with sideburns to me. Could well be, say, general Burnside on their iron.

From the thread title I thought we had a new super hero.

Since we have no pictures of the actual Jesus what are they comparing it to?

Is this any more ridiculous than seeing god in the Universe or in the tails of biological cells?

Perhaps this is somebody who took Gabes's "Jesus is Effing Metal" too seriously.

“For me I think it happened for a reason,’’ said Coady. “I think it’s good to share it with other people.’’

I'm curious to know if she - or anyone else - can provide a credible "reason" for pareidolia being regardes as "a good thing"

I'm sad. I was hoping for a thread about a Jesus who created an robotic suit to keep himself alive and now fights crime.

Pretty much.

And then there are the even more ridiculous Mary aparitions. While the "Jesus" ones at least are like an inkblot that can be sorta interpreted to have a face, most Marys don't even have a face. Anything bowling pin shaped or even condom shaped, has got to be Mary somehow. I mean, geesh, even if they had a picture of Mary to compare to, the damned thing has no face. How do you get from something that at best is a robed figure outline to specifically Mary? Robed figure could be anyone from Caligula, to me at a toga party in college, to my warlock character in WoW. Heck even Jesus is traditionally depicted with a robe. Out of the millions of people who ever wore a robe, exactly what part of such an outline would single out Mary?

A halo might narrow the field, just a bit... that and maybe a 'zoom in' indicating an intact hymen...

Funny how all these apparitions look just like artist's portrayals of Jesus and Mary. Were all those artists inspired?

I'm glad to hear that Jesus is addressing the pressing issues of the day.

Just a misunderstanding: Holy Grail, not Holy Grill. We'll get this ironed out eventually.
