Jason is actually going to be the a/v guy, from what I can tell. I'll make sure to check whether the audio feed for the DVDs can come directly from the microphones on the desk, rather than from mikes in the auditorium picking up the ambient sound from the speakers that the desk mikes feed into.

The original plan was to follow the SGU around and film the trip. With TAM, makes it more interesting.

I'm sure there's some of us that could... ehem, "persuade" them to put you up

People coming from other countries should plan some fun group events for the rest of the time we're there.

I'm planning to visit Canberra and Melbourne with a friend from Melbourne before TAM AU. I'll be in Australia for the week after TAM and will want to see Sydney and maybe take a trip to see something other than a city.

Brian Dunning may be able to come to Canberra Skeptics in the Pub while he's here.

Well, there is plenty of countryside and small towns to visit in between Sydney and Canberra if you hire a car and drive.

I'm organising a Canberra Skeptics in the Pub for the weekend after (that's Sunday the 5th of December). George Hrab has indicated that he may be able to attend. Anyone else is welcome.

Scrut/Elton,

Are you flying from the USA? I saw last week that V Australia were having a sale on flights to Australia during November. I'm unsure what the average price for such a trip would normally be, but it looked like a pretty good price to me. About $1000 US return from the west coast.

Cheers,

Chris
